Adapting to Your Ship
At YAF Diesel, we know that no two engine rooms are identical. Space is a luxury, especially on existing vessels facing retrofit deadlines. The BSKY system is engineered with a “Technology First, Frame Second” philosophy.
Whether you need a Skid-Mounted unit for rapid installation or a Modular (Split) configuration to navigate narrow bulkheads and tight corners, our filter-free EPT technology remains consistent. We don’t ask you to change your ship to fit our system; we change our system to fit your ship.
Turnkey Timeline: From Scan to Commissioning
On mobile, swipe the steps horizontally.
3D Scan & Feasibility
Capture real geometry, validate access routes, and map “dead space” for split layouts.
Digital Twin Engineering
3D integration, clash detection, and drawing pack for piping, foundations, and electrical.
Pre-Fabrication
Prepare piping spools, brackets, and foundations off-ship to reduce yard time.
Install & Commission
Supervised installation, commissioning, crew training, and documentation for class.
Two Installation Options
Option 1: Skid-Mounted (Plug-and-Play)
Ideal for newbuilds or vessels with sufficient deck or engine room space.
- All-in-One Design: Hydrocyclone, Ultrasonic, UV Reactor, and Control Panel on a single marine-grade frame.
- Factory Tested: FAT approved as one unit; internal piping/wiring verified before shipyard delivery.
- Rapid Installation: Four main connections: Water In, Water Out, Power, Data — can cut yard labor up to ~40%.
- Optimized Footprint: Compact arrangement to minimize occupied area.
Option 2: Modular Configuration (Split)
The retrofit specialist for tight spaces and restricted access routes.
- Component Separation: Place Hydrocyclone near pumps, UV reactor elsewhere, panel in ECR if needed.
- Through the Hatch: Modules pass manholes and narrow doors—no costly structural cuts.
- Digital Twin Precision: 3D laser scanning maps usable “dead space” accurately.
- Vertical or Horizontal: MP-UV reactors & Hydrocyclones support flexible orientations.

3D Laser Scanning
Digital twin planning for accurate placement, faster yard work, fewer surprises.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Does a modular installation affect the USCG/IMO Type Approval?
No. Certifications cover both skid-mounted and modular layouts. As long as components are installed according to engineering guidelines, the system remains fully compliant.
Can we change a Skid-Mounted order to Modular if we find space issues later?
Yes. While it’s best to decide during the 3D scanning phase, the BSKY system’s inherent design is modular. Delivery format can be adapted based on the final engineering survey.
What is the maximum distance allowed between modular components?
Components should be kept as close as possible to minimize pressure drops, but our engineering team can calculate and approve extended distances based on your vessel’s pump capacity and routing constraints.
